Overview and your choices
WhereCanIWatch.tv helps people find streaming options in the United States. This page describes the information used by the site and the choices available to you. You can search, play trivia and save titles on your device without creating an account or allowing optional analytics.
Information used to provide the service
- Requests and searches: our hosting and security services process requested URLs, search terms, IP addresses, device/browser information and operational logs to deliver and protect the site. Do not put private information into the search box.
- Optional accounts: authentication and account data are handled using Supabase. If you sign in, your email, authentication information, account watchlist and any availability alerts you request are processed to provide those features.
- Email subscriptions and support: if you request updates or contact us, we process the email address and information you provide to respond or deliver those messages.
We do not take payment details for streaming purchases. Subscriptions, rentals and purchases are handled by the provider you visit.
What stays in your browser
Your guest watchlist, selected services, quiz replay history and privacy choice use browser storage. Guest saves are not automatically imported into an account: syncing them after sign-in requires your explicit action. Clearing site data or switching browsers can remove or hide device-only saves.
Essential authentication cookies and security mechanisms support sign-in and site protection. Rejecting analytics does not disable those functions or erase saved titles.
Optional analytics
If you choose Allow analytics, we load Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity to understand page visits, searches, watch-link clicks, feature use and usability. These services can process device information and identifiers; Clarity provides interaction recordings and heatmaps. Google Analytics and Clarity are not loaded by WCIW before this choice, or when you reject optional analytics.
You can change your choice using Privacy choices in the footer. Withdrawing consent reloads the page to stop the loaded analytics scripts and clears their accessible first-party cookies; it does not delete information previously processed by those providers. We remember your choice for up to 180 days where browser storage is available. If storage is blocked, your choice applies to the current page only.

Other services and external links
We use DigitalOcean for hosting, Supabase for application data and authentication, and Cloudflare for content delivery, security and email routing. These services process information needed to operate the site. Artwork can load from our image delivery service or TMDB; trailers load from YouTube when you choose to play them.
Streaming-provider and affiliate links take you to third-party sites with their own privacy practices. Those sites may receive referral information and use their own cookies or tracking. Our optional analytics choice does not control a provider after you leave WCIW. See our affiliate disclosure.
Display advertising
We do not currently load third-party display-ad scripts. Before introducing advertising, we will update our disclosures and implement the applicable advertising privacy choices. The analytics control on this site does not constitute consent to future advertising.
Retention and requests
Device-only data stays in your browser until you remove it or clear site data. Account data is used to maintain the features you request; you can remove saved titles and alerts using the site. For account deletion, data access, correction or other privacy requests, contact [email protected] using the email associated with your account or subscription.
Operational and analytics data are subject to the retention settings of the services we use. We retain information needed for security, service operation and applicable obligations. Your rights depend on your location; we may need to verify a request before disclosing or deleting account information. Do not send passwords or sign-in codes.
You can unsubscribe from optional update emails using the message's unsubscribe option or by contacting us.
Children and policy changes
WCIW is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can investigate. Changes to this policy will be posted here with an updated date.
