A romantic drama set in Germany just before WWI and centered on a married woman who falls in love with her husband's teacher. Separated by the war, they pledge their devotion to one another.
Instead of a standard period romance, this quiet drama focuses on the heavy cost of loyalty during the onset of global conflict. The shifting landscape of pre-war Germany serves as a fragile backdrop for a connection that refuses to break despite the chaos.
