About
You can watch About Elly (2009) on Kanopy with a participating library card.
The mysterious disappearance of a kindergarten teacher during a picnic in the north of Iran is followed by a series of misadventures for her fellow travelers.
This psychological puzzle replaces typical genre tension with a biting, uncomfortable look at social hypocrisy and collective denial. Instead of a standard investigation, the narrative unravels through the petty grievances and fractured egos of a group of travelers.
