About
You can watch Daktari (1966) on Hoopla with a participating library card.
Daktari is an American children's drama series that aired on CBS between 1966 and 1969. The series, an Ivan Tors Films Production in association with MGM Television, stars Marshall Thompson as Dr. Marsh Tracy, a veterinarian at the fictional Wameru Study Centre for Animal Behaviour in East Africa.
Most mid-century family dramas stick to suburban living rooms, but this series trades picket fences for the sweeping landscapes of East Africa. You will find a refreshing focus on animal behavior and veterinary medicine rather than typical soap opera tropes.
