About
You can stream Elvis & Nixon (2016) on Amazon Prime with a subscription.
In 1970, a few days before Christmas, Elvis Presley showed up on the White House lawn seeking to be deputized into the Bureau of Narcotics and Dangerous Drugs by the President himself.
Michael Shannon captures the King's manic energy with a jittery, soulful intensity that feels both absurd and strangely sincere. This oddball meeting of two American icons plays out as a surreal, comedic collision between celebrity excess and political paranoia.
