Inspired by the journals of the first explorers of the Colombian Amazon, Theodor Koch-Grunberg and Richard Evans Schultes.

Embrace of the Serpent is a film that explores themes of indigenous, religious conversion, amazon rainforest. It also touches on based on true story and spirituality and colonisation.
