Years before Father Merrin helped save Regan MacNeil’s soul, he first encounters the demon Pazuzu in East Africa.
Father Merrin battles his own fraying faith while confronting a primordial evil in the heat of East Africa. This prequel strips away the suburban comfort of the original to reveal a priest struggling with the raw, terrifying origins of his calling.
