In 1999, Star Wars fanatics take a cross-country trip to George Lucas' Skywalker Ranch so their dying friend can see a screening of The Phantom Menace before its release.
In the frantic, pre-internet peak of nineties fandom, a group of obsessive geeks embarks on a desperate cross-country pilgrimage to reach the gates of Skywalker Ranch. This heartfelt road trip captures the pure, unadulterated joy of being a nerd when the world felt slightly larger and more mysterious.
