About
You can watch For the Boys (1991) on Hoopla with a participating library card, rent on Apple TV+, or buy on Apple TV+.
Talented USO entertainer Dixie Leonard and comedian Eddie Sparks deal with their relationship over the course of 5 decades from World War II to the Vietnam War era to their twilight era in the 90's.
This bittersweet musical comedy swaps typical romantic tropes for a decades-long look at the messy, enduring friction between two stage performers. It finds its heartbeat in the nostalgic, brassy energy of old-school USO variety shows.
