About

After defecting from North Korea, Loh Kiwan struggles to obtain refugee status in Belgium, where he encounters a dejected woman who has lost all hope.
This refugee drama sidesteps typical political melodrama to focus on the quiet, desperate intimacy of two souls finding warmth in a cold Belgian bureaucracy. It finds its heartbeat in the fragile connection between a man fighting for survival and a woman who has already given up.
