About

In the 1930s, jazz guitarist Emmet Ray idolizes Django Reinhardt, faces gangsters and falls in love with a mute woman.
A swaggering, ego-driven guitarist navigates the smoky jazz clubs of the 1930s with a mix of brilliance and deep-seated insecurity. This black-and-white dreamscape captures the soulful, frantic pulse of swing era musicianship through a lens of beautiful melancholy.
