About
You can stream The Assassin (1967) on Shout! Factory Amazon Channel with a subscription.
Yu is a swordsman who is betrayed by a jealous rival, but initially seeks a life of simple pleasures until an accidental meeting with another patriot sets him back on the road to bloody, brutal vengeance.
A swordsman attempts to trade his lethal blade for a quiet existence, only to find that a sudden spark of patriotism reignites his thirst for blood. This kinetic martial arts classic trades slow pacing for explosive, bone-crunching choreography that defines early wuxia cinema.
