The Caller

About

You can stream The Caller (1987) on Amazon Prime with a subscription.

One night, an unusual stranger in need asks a woman living alone in a house in the woods if he can use her phone. It soon becomes clear that they're playing a strange mind game and that there's something very wrong about the woods.

A chillingly eccentric presence commands the screen as a stranger turns a simple request for a phone call into a psychological trap. This claustrophobic thriller swaps traditional jumpscares for a disorienting sense of dread that seeps out from the surrounding trees.
