Justino, a 45-year-old member of the indigenous Desana people, is a security guard at the Manaus harbor. As his daughter prepares to soon depart to Brasília, Justino comes down with a mysterious fever.
The humid, restless docks of Manaus provide a claustrophobic backdrop for a father’s sudden physical and spiritual unraveling. As a mysterious illness takes hold, the looming departure of his daughter turns a medical crisis into a race against isolation.
