When a law school dropout answers an advertisement to be a personal assistant he unknowingly signs on to work for a belligerent has-been magician struggling to resurrect his career. This leads to a journey across the country staging the comeback of a lifetime.
Buck Howard clings to his fading stage magic with a delusional, prickly bravado that makes every roadside performance feel like a desperate gamble. A wide-eyed law school dropout attempts to manage the chaos, turning a failed comeback tour into a surreal road trip through the absurdity of ego.
