In 1917, two young music students attending the Boston Conservatory bond over a mutual love of folk music. They reconnect a few years later, embarking on a song-collecting trip in the backwaters of Maine.
Two music students trade the rigid halls of a Boston conservatory for the rugged, salt-sprayed backwaters of Maine. Their shared obsession with preserving dying folk songs turns a scholarly pursuit into a profound, wandering connection.
