About
You can stream The Hollars (2016) on Howdy Amazon Channel with a subscription, rent on Apple TV+, or buy on Apple TV+.
Aspiring New York City artist John Hollar returns to his Middle America hometown on the eve of his mother’s brain surgery. Joined by his girlfriend Rebecca, eight months pregnant with their first child, John is forced to navigate the crazy world he left behind.
This family dramedy swaps heavy-handed sentiment for the awkward, jagged edges of real life. It finds profound humor in the quiet friction between a pregnant girlfriend and a chaotic, eccentric Midwestern clan.
