Alex is an 11-year old boy who, during WWII, hides in the Jewish ghetto from Nazis after all his relatives have been sent to the concentration camp. The movie portrays the ghetto through his eyes.
Rather than focusing on soldiers or politicians, this wartime drama filters the terror of the Nazi occupation through the vulnerable perspective of a child hiding in a ghetto. The claustrophobic setting turns every small sound and shadow into a life-or-death struggle for survival.
