Two youngsters from rival New York City gangs fall in love, but tensions between their respective friends build toward tragedy.
Electric bursts of color and rhythmic tension pulse through every frame of this vibrant urban ballet. The street-level violence feels startlingly immediate against the lush, sweeping orchestrations of a classic romance.
