Upon being sent to live with relatives in the countryside due to an illness, an emotionally distant adolescent girl becomes obsessed with an abandoned mansion and infatuated with a girl who lives there - a girl who may or may not be real.
A quiet, aching vulnerability radiates from the protagonist as she navigates the loneliness of a summer spent in the countryside. Hand-painted landscapes shimmer with a dreamlike haze, turning a mysterious encounter at a marshside mansion into a hauntingly beautiful memory.
