About
You can stream Yakitori: Soldiers of Misfortune (2023) on Netflix with a subscription.
With Earth colonized by a superior alien civilization, Akira's only chance at a better future is to enlist as an expendable Yakitori foot soldier.
Humanity survives on the fringes of an alien-occupied Earth where life is cheap and survival depends on joining the most disposable military unit in existence. This sci-fi setup trades grand galactic battles for the desperate, messy reality of soldiers who are essentially meant to be fodder.
